Event Information – Saturday, July 26, 2014
Come celebrate the Dog Days of Summer with the Pasadena Animal League. We will enjoy a casual evening filled with cocktails, al fresco dinner, auction, intimate concert and fun. This gala event will take place at the Valley Hunt Club in Pasadena. A wonderful private club, it provides the perfect backdrop for this casual summer evening. We will dine under the stars and listen to the ageless music of Mac Davis.
All proceeds will support the new spay and neuter center at the Pasadena Humane Society.
Celebrated songwriter and performer Mac Davis will headline the evening's entertainment. The Lubbock, Texas native first gained national fame as the writer of Elvis Presley's iconic hits, "In the Ghetto," "Memories," and "A Little Less Conversation," and later penned and performed such number one singles as "Baby Don't Get Hooked on Me," "I Believe in Music," and "Hard to be Humble." During his long career he has starred in his own television variety show ("The Mac Davis Show") and has made numerous appearances on television, in movies, on Broadway, and has headlined in Las Vegas. He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2006 and also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The Pasadena Animal League is the sole auxiliary of PHS welcoming new members to join in our fundraising efforts to raise money for the animals. For more information on the "Dog Days of Summer" and/or to join PAL, contact Lynne Nicholson, PAL president, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
